Self-motivation is the driving force behind taking action and achieving high performance. An individual must be motivated by his own desire to pursue goals of organization or agency. The problem in this study how describe self-motivation improving performance librarians library Sari Mutiara University, Indonesia. purpose was determine role University In study, research approach carried out qualitative with a descriptive approach. This method aims precisely traits, circumstances, other factors solve problems. result that at Indonesia Library formed from motivational supported hygiene factors. can seen work achievements achieved librarians, recognition their existence as completing given, having great sense responsibility, develop potential. addition, things support magnitude are policies administration do not burden harmonious relationships between fellow income meet needs life, evaluations aimed appraisals, pleasant, comfortable, conducive workplace conditions.
